As the product meets the International standard for Melaleuca oil and is to be sold at a concentration that is less that 25%, it meets Therapeutic Goods Administration guidelines for listing in Australia.  In other words, the product can be sold as a therapeutic good although, without clinical trials, no claims of therapeutic efficacy can be made. A product based on Mega Bac, NeuMedix Pain Relief Oil, has been TGA approved. A number of independent studies commissioned by NeuMedix have been conducted on Mega Bac and M.A.C. to evaluate their anti microbial and anti viral properties and to evaluate devices, such as surgical face masks, containing the product as well as to demonstrate safety. |
