Douglas Gray

MBChB FRCA

Douglas studied medicine and graduated from the University of Leeds in 1998. Douglas is an anaesthetist and has completed his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and is on the GMC specialist register in the UK. He has interests in anaesthesia for upper gastrointestinal and vascular surgery, obstetric anaesthesia and the use of thromboelastography to assess platelet function and is currently studying towards a Masters in Medical Science.

Douglas has a broad experience of medicine having worked both in the UK and Australia. The majority of his practice and training has been in the UK complemented by two years in Sydney, firstly as a medical registrar 2000-2001 at the Royal North Shore Hospital and an anaesthesia fellowship year at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney in 2007.

Douglas’s engagement brings significant medical insight gained as an actively practicing clinician and experience in the process and performance of medical research. Many of the biotechnologies embraced by the NeuMedix Health Group require a high degree of clinical study with post trial analysis of data and patient outcomes. In field studies of innovative science, stress and emotion can influence good information. With expertise gained in acute care settings Douglas can refine and report results paramount to the success and refinement of our technologies.
